Heidi Mikkonen is an entrepreneur and a teacher at the Aalto Venture Program. Heidi have a strong practical knowledge of entrepreneurship, being a co-founder of three companies and she has been a board member in several companies. She also has experience of e.g. receivership and exit processes. Her main areas of interests are related to marketing, sales, and adult pedagogy, as well as entrepreneurship, developing new businesses and teaching entrepreneurial capabilities.
At Aalto Ventures Program, she co-teach their flagship course Startup Experience, and she plans and develops integration, i.e. how to integrate entrepreneurial capabilities and mindset to current curricula. Also, she participates in training trainers –activities, which focus on training teachers to integrate entrepreneurial elements into their courses.
Heidi has master’s degrees from Helsinki School of Business (marketing) and University of Tampere (environmental policy), and adult pedagogy qualification from the University of Helsinki.
Her passion is to develop herself and learn new things. Heidi lovs to spend time with her family and friends, and a variety of sports activities, like jogging, hiking, in-line skating, kick-biking, cycling and yoga.
